I hesitated a bit before publishing this one. I’m not sure it’s ok to remix the First They Came poem like this. I do think the framing is powerful though. There’s a similar process in how fascism & automation move through society, starting with the powerless.
FWIW, I was not offended.
And I think it had the intended effect on me: It made me pause and wonder if I should be speaking out against AI / automation. (But I won't. Mostly because I'm cautiously optimistic but also because I think trying to stop it is futile.)
